In 2011, The Upper Room’s UR4Driving Project won the Andy Ludlow Special Award for Best Use of Volunteers. This prestigious prize was presented by Rt. Hon. John Bercow MP at a ceremony in the State Rooms of the Speaker’s Apartments in the House of Commons, and it also came with a financial award of £15,000.
In 2012, the Mayor of Hammersmith & Fulham recognised some ex-offenders supported by The Upper Room, and presented six of them with Volunteer Awards for their contribution to the community.
In 2013, our UR4Driving Project won the Charity Times Awards Big Society Award for its outstanding contribution to the community.

The Upper Room was also ”Highly Commended’ at the prestigious Civil Society Charity Awards 2013.
In 2014 The Upper Room received the Civil Society Award – Highly Commended for Education and Training. We were also shortlisted for the Guardian Charity Awards and longlisted for the Centre for Social Justice’s CSJ Awards.
In 2015 The Upper Room was longlisted for the CSJ Awards.
