Punks For Charity: Class of ’79

Saturday September 5th sees a completely new type of fundraiser for The Upper Room! Our good friends at Punks For Charity are putting on their first ever show at the iconic Bush Hall in Shepherd's Bush.

Saturday September 5th sees a completely new type of fundraiser for The Upper Room! Our good friends at Punks For Charity are putting on their first ever show at the iconic Bush Hall in Shepherd’s Bush.

This live music gig features punk rock bands playing songs that sound like the 1979 punk scene,  with performances from Class of ’79, The Scuts, Hats Off Gentlemen It’s Adequate, Foxpalmer, and The Custard Screams. 

The event includes a charity hot sauce launch by Lazy Scientist, with 100% of proceeds from the hot sauce and Punks For Charity merchandise going to The Upper Room.

Ashley’s marathon challenge

Ashley Robinson, the Project Manager for UR4Meals, spends a lot of his time in the gym or road-running, and he has set himself the challenge of completing his first marathon to help raise funds for the charity: the Thames Meander takes place on Sunday 9th August. Fundraising art exhibition at the Barley Mow Centre

A one-night pop-up art exhibition featuring new work by painters Micheal Haran and Paul Mulvey took place at the Barley Mow Centre in Chiswick on Wednesday 25th March. ‘ART/WORKS’ supported both The Upper Room and The Peru Mission in Iquitos, which delivers community, education and welfare projects in one of the most deprived regions of the Peruvian Amazon.
